T is for Teach Them Diligently Convention

Do you love homeschool conferences, conventions, expos? If so which have you attended in the past? Which are your favorites?

I must admit that Teach Them Diligently is my personal favorite homeschool conference. I have attended 2 other local conferences and they just don't compare to Teach Them Diligently. This year I will be going to Spartanburg SC and Nashville, TN.

Teach Them Diligently wins BEST conference in my book for these reasons:

Speakers:
Teach Them Diligently has some of the best speakers I have heard at a homeschool conference. The material these speakers present is relevant to homeschooling families and not boring or pitchy. Be sure to check them all out on the Teach Them Diligently speaker page. There will be 29 speakers in NE, 38 in Nashville and 41 in Spartanburg...that's a lot of encouragement! Pam Tebow is one of the speakers and I have had the privilege of hearing her once before she will definitely provide you with lots of great information!

Vendors:
I love the mix of small and large vendor companies. Last year I met some of fabulous companies I never even knew existed. Check out some my Teach Them Diligently highlights post from last year. This year I will be working the booth in Spartanburg, SC for A+ TutorSoft be sure to stop by and say hello!

Price:
Okay we are homeschooling families which means we most likely are one income families. So why do homeschool conferences have to be so expensive? Well Teach Them Diligently is super reasonable only $45 for a family registration! Hurry and register though because this price may change soon.

Kids Programming:
There is going to be an amazing children's program called "Battle For The Truth" this year. This program is $35 per child. The leaders (over 18) will go through background checks and are all young couples who have been in youth ministry for several years. They have worked in Christian camps, participated in church plantings travel with evangelistic teams, etc. Your kids can have fun, make friends and learn to fight against the Christian's three major enemies.

Friends:
Who doesn't like meeting up with friends? I am super excited to be meeting some online blogger friends  "in real life" this year. Conferences are such a great opportunity to meet up with your current friends for some refreshment and encouragement or perhaps make new ones. There is this one sweet homeshcool mom who I met at the first conference I attended in GA and I have run into her at 2 others. We don't live close to each other and don't have each others contact information (she may follow my blog) but whenever we see each other at a conference we catch up, swap stories and provide each other encouragement.

Something For The Entire Family:
There are great programs for teens and men (only $5 each per person), special needs speakers and more.

I hope to see you in TN or SC!

I have wanted to go to a homeschooling conference for a while, but haven't found any in our area. Nice to know there is one in Omaha which is only 2 hours away!

If it wasn't so far away I would be there. I will be attending our local conference again this year.
