Top Ten Favorite Books
Last week I shared Top 10 Favorite Online Learning Websites. This week I am sharing Top 10 Favorite Books. We definitely have more than 10 favorite books but these make the top of the list. Many of these I love because of the beautiful illustrations, heartwarming stories and fabulous lessons they teach.
1) Belle, The Last Mule at Gee's Bend: A Civil Rights Story (a wonderful African American story)
2) Ruth and the Green Book (another wonderful African American story)
3) Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge (mascara warning on this one)
4) Christmas Tapestry (warning have a box of tissues for this one)
5) A New Coat of Leaves (teaches a great lesson on accepting the way you look)
6) Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (a must have for anyone learning their ABC's)
7) A Christmas Gift for Mama (a adaptation of Gift of the Magi)
8) Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand (a great book to teach kids about childhood cancer)
9) America Is (great patriotic story)
10) Your Favorite Seuss (who doesn't love a giant book about Dr. Seuss filled with 13 Dr. Seuss stories)
