Well we confirmed
Punxsutawney-Phil's prediction, there will indeed be 6 more weeks of Winter. Since we didn't have a Groundhog handy we used Jester our Ferret. I know he belongs to the weasel family and not the squirrel family but Ferrets are smarter so I trust him more, lol.

I think it is great that you did this with the kids. They will probably remember that seeing the shadow means 6 more weeks of winter...something that I can NEVER remember!!
But, I must say, The way you said, "We didn't have a groundhog handy, so we used Jester, our ferret." Just cracked me up!!! Too cute!
