August 3 in 30 Challenge - August Goals
Well here are my August goals which I've started working on! I know I am a bit late but I've been busy with the last several days tending to sick kids and getting ready for our first homeschool year which we started yesterday. I will of course be continuing to work on my past goals.
1. Get our daily schedule/routine in place - So as many of you know I quite my job to homeschool my kids. For a very long time we have had a hectic schedule/routine which didn't leave much quality time with the kids or cleaning. Well that is all changing!
2. Start homschooling - Well we officially started yesterday and so far so good!
3. Learn better ways to discipline - I picked up some good tips at the southeast homeschool expo this past weekend which we have already started implementing. I've also noticed that the kids have been behaving much better (probably because mama is home now).
I already know what I want my September goals to be too, but I guess I will have to wait to share those!
Any encouraging words are always appreciated!

Those are some great goals, Kathy! Having been home with my kids since 2002, disciple is tough no matter if you are a SAHM or a working mom. But I applaud you still for taking that leap and staying home! The rewards out way that paycheck you would have gotten! Have a great school year!
Kathy,
I've also started trying to organize our household. I instituted chores for my 4 kids.
Our homeschool will start up again on the 15th of August. I wanted us to get a head start on the chores and then ease into the homeschooling.
Really, my kids homeschooled through the summer so some of my kids are already ahead on some of the subjects for next year. We will do our year-round schooling again, while taking a few weeks off here and there.
I hope your homeschool venture turns out great.

Love the the 3 in 30 idea. I always set myself up to fail by trying to fix "it all" right now. I think I should try to take bite sized change chunks too.

@danielle @ RLR You should join in the 3 in 30 challenge!
Sounds so nice to get back to a routine! I have yet to even order all of my curriculum for the coming year! We start Sept 12th. I am however moving forward on my August Goal (yet to be posted) of planning and preping for the coming school year.
Discipline is a tough one. I find that we go in waves of what works and what doesn't around here. So I tend to switch up my methods as needed. 1,2,3, Magic was a great book that helped us.
What a fun week! I'm so glad that you are enjoying being home with your kids - and that you started homeschool already :) Way to go!!
I have a review scheduled to post tomorrow {Sat} on a fantastic disciple book :)
Great goals! And good for you for quitting your job to be home:) I have an award for you on my blog.
@Aurie{OurGoodLife} Cannot wait to hear about it!
@Lisa Marie Miles Awww that was so sweet thanks so much!
