1. thankful for gifts, favours, etc.; appreciative
2. showing gratitude a grateful letter
3. favourable or pleasant a grateful restI am grateful for my kids and that I will be able to homeschool them. That I will be able to spend each day with them as they grow and learn. That I will be taking a very active part in their education and be there beside them when they learn to read their first words or solve their first math problem.
I am grateful for my wonderful husband (of almost 11 yrs). That he is on board with homeschooling our children. That he encourages and supports me in all my endeavors. And that he is willing to be the sole bread winner for our family so that I can be at home with the kids soon. My husband was actually homeschooled all throughout elementary so he knows first hand the educational advantages of homeschooling.
I am grateful that GA doesn't make it extremely difficult to homeschool. All GA requires to homeschool is a declaration of intent letter sent to state, monthly attendance reports sent to state and an annual progress report to remain in our files, that's it. Compared to several other states GA is a lot easier, and I am so grateful for that. For more info on GA homeschooling laws visit, http://www.ghea.org/pages/resources/stateLaw.php. GA is actually the 3rd largest homeschooling state in the country, WOW!
I am grateful for the awesome homeschool community. I've met so many wonderful people through blogs, websites, Twitter and Facebook. I've picked up ticks, curriculum, resources and encouragement. I've had the opportunity to participate in memes, link ups, Twitter and Facebook parties. One reason I started this blog was to connect with people with similar interests and share my thoughts.
What are you grateful for?
